Get the best of both worlds by combining a spectacular scenic flight with followed by a 16,500ft jump with Skydive Abel Tasman.
This scenic tour shows the beauty and diversity of the Abel Tasman Park. From glistening beaches to the inspiring surroundings of Canaan Downs: ancient beech trees, bounded by rolling meadow scattered with eerie rock formations make flying over this hilltop scenic reserve an unforgettable experience. Here you will see why director Sir Peter Jackson has chosen this amazing location for Trilogies “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit”. There is nowhere like it in the world.
Your trip starts at Motueka flying over our lush farmlands, then up Riwaka Valley to Caanan Downs. Marvel (yes marvel) at Harwoods hole (deepest natural hole in the southern hemisphere) and fly down over the Jackson falls into the stunning Awaroa inlet. From there we fly along the golden beaches of Abel Tasman National Park viewing all the bays and islands cruising along Split Apple Rock and Kaiteriteri Beach, before heading back along the coast and Motueka River.
You will then pop over to the Skydive Abel Tasman Drop Zone where you will be jumping from 16,500ft – 15 min scenic flight, up to 45 seconds of freefall and then 3-5 min under the parachute.
